Who we are
Ridgeport Supply Co. ("we", "us") is a wholesale distributor based in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. This policy explains how we handle personal information in the course of commercial activity, consistent with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
We collect only what we need to assess and service a wholesale account:
- Business contact details — name, role, business email, business phone, business address
- Business identifiers — legal and operating name, HST registration number, website
- Commercial information you provide — categories of interest, expected purchasing volume, sales channels
- Correspondence you send us
We do not collect personal financial information, government identification numbers, or any special categories of personal data through this website.
How we use it
To verify that an applicant is a legitimate trade buyer, to set and administer account terms, to respond to enquiries, and to fulfil and support orders. We also use it to meet record-keeping obligations under Canadian tax and commercial law.
What we don't do
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not send marketing email to anyone who has not asked for it, consistent with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and every commercial message we do send carries an unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
Only where necessary to operate: our form and email providers, our payment processor, our shipping carriers, and our accountants. Each receives only the information required for their function. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Where it's stored
Information submitted through this website may be processed or stored on servers outside Canada by our service providers, and is subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
How long we keep it
Account and transaction records are retained for seven years, as required for Canadian tax purposes. Applications that do not result in an account are deleted within twelve months.
Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete information we are not required to retain. Write to privacy@ridgeport.ca and we will respond within thirty days.
Cookies
This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. If we add analytics in future, this policy will be updated before it goes live.
